South Florida radio host files suit against Seminole Tribe

In the world of business many deals are entered into every day. Some deals are sound and never experience any real problems. However, sometimes when two or more parties agree upon a deal they don’t always stick to their agreement. When a business deal in the Miami area goes sour it could end up going to court where it will be up to a judge to decide the outcome.

A well-known South Florida radio personality has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the Seminole Tribe of Florida over a business deal he claims they backed out on. According to the lawsuit, Mobile Mike says that he and the Tribe, which runs the Hard Rock casino and entertainment complex, agreed to a deal that would have been worth $250 million to him and his companies.

He claims that he signed the deal and began to perform the agreed upon duties; then the Tribe suddenly gave the business to someone else. Now the radio personality is concerned that the Tribe will use its sovereign immunity to back out of the deal and cut him off completely. He says the Tribe also signed the contract, which called for Mobile Mike’s companies to perform marketing for all of the Tribe’s gaming facilities throughout Florida. His attorney claims the Tribe is guilty of breach of contract.

Ultimately a judge will decide who is right and who is wrong in this situation. Anyone in a similar business dispute should probably contact an experienced business litigation lawyer in order to determine if a lawsuit is a good idea.
