There can be complications involved when any business deal gets done, including deals made in the Miami area. Whether its construction or real estate or any other type of business deal there is always a chance that the parties involved will not see eye to eye throughout the process. That's why it's important to understand the legal ramifications of any business agreement.
The Sandestin Owners Association is facing new opposition as it fights to use a driveway easement that links the Footprints Resort Gift Shop to a nearby highway. The owners association is also considering constructing offices on the land that adjoins the main resort. However, Sandestin Investment LLC has filed a lawsuit claiming that the Owners Association misrepresented its plan to use the driveway. The attorney for Sandestin Investments LLC claims that the homeowners association promised to build a bridge linking the office complex to the main resort, if Sandestin Investments LLC gave it property for the bridge.
However, the family that owns the resort as well as the land underneath the driveway easement does not want the access driveway to be used by the Homeowners Association. Sandestin Investments LLC claims that the Homeowners Association did not keep its end of the deal and that it now wants its land back, whicht was to be used for the bridge.
Construction and real estate deals don't always go the way that the parties involved had planned. When complications arise that eventually lead to lawsuits that's when it's a good idea to visit with an experienced construction litigation attorney.
